Biosuper is a unique dry bedding conditioner, which can be used in a range of situations and is safe to use around animals of all ages. We should be promoting its use in and round lambing and calving pens.

Main benefits of Biosuper:

• Decrease mortality in new born calves and lambs
• Reduce disease such as pneumonia, joint ill, mastitis and scour which can harbour in damp bedding
• Decrease bedding costs by keeping bedding drier. This means straw lasts longer
• Reduce antibiotic use. This results in reducing resistance and associated costs
• Effective in the presence of organic matter. This means lambing and calving pens can be refreshed, rather than completely mucked out between cows/ewes. Best practise would still be to muck out between cows/ewes, but this isn’t always practical

How Biosuper works:

• Absorbs its own weight in water; meaning moisture for bacteria growth is removed
• Releases sulphuric and phosphoric acid on contact with moisture to lower the pH to 3.4; meaning bacteria cannot grow
• Neutralises ammonia; meaning air quality is improved
